If your dog or cat is a picky eater and doesn't want to eat the HOKAMIX, then we suggest you mix something into their food that they like, like a scoop of canned dog food, yogurt, cottage cheese, honey, whatever it takes to get them used to the new flavor. Most pets like HOKAMIX. If there is absolutely no way that you can get your pet to eat the HOKAMIX but they really need it, then we suggest going to the health food store and getting some empty gelatin capsules. You can fill them up with the amount of HOKAMIX and giving it to them as pills. Otherwise, be creative. We're sure you can find some way of convincing your pet to eat it. Their life can depend on it.

The amount of Hokamix to give to dogs for a maintenance amount is as follows:
1 to 5 pounds - 1/2 scoop per day, 1 tab or 1 petite snax (2 1/2 grams)
6 to 10 pounds - 1 scoop per day, 2 tabs or 1 regular snax (5 grams)
11 to 25 pounds - 2 scoops per day, 4 tabs or 2 regular snax (10 grams)
33 pounds and up - 3 scoops per day, 6 tabs or 3 regular snax (15 grams)

The amount is 1 gram per kilogram of bodyweight or approximately 1 scoop per 10 pounds up to 33 pounds. 1 kilogram equals 2.2 pounds and the scoop that's enclosed is a 5 gram scoop. For dogs over 33 pounds figure a pound a month on a maintenance amount. If you are doubling the amount for the first 6 weeks, then a 2 pound container will only last about 5 weeks.
