THE MAGIC:

Hokamix is a unique, all natural herbal supplement that contains vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, antioxidants, trace elements, essential fatty acids, chlorophyll, fiber, proteins, sugars, carbohydrates and other nutrients that occur naturally in the herbs. THE THEORY:

Dogs in the wild get plenty of herbs when they take down an herbivore (deer, etc.) and eat their stomach contents. They also seek out certain herbs that they need and these dogs don't have any of our modern day diseases like parvo, corona, hip dysplasia, etc.. Our dogs, especially those that are confined to kennel runs, cannot get any greens except for what we give them in their food. That's where Hokamix comes in. We know that herbs are a necessity for dogs and cats (as much as protein, fat, vitamins and minerals). The concept of Hokamix is the brainchild of Dutch nutritionist Herr Kroeske. His simple theory is to reintroduce into their diets the natural herbs missing in our modern foods that satisfied their bodily needs. In our present world of processed foods, where chemicals are added to preserve and enhance flavor and color, it is impossible to feed our pets correctly. Food remains undigested, toxins are formed and the metabolism is disturbed. This is when disease can take over. The herbs in Hokamix help create a situation within the stomach in which the flora is better able to recreate itself which helps the body neutralize toxins and balance the metabolic system. Dogs in the wild also do not eat anything resembling dry kibble. That's why we suggest wetting the food and letting the kibble absorb some of the water, then add the Hokamix. Hokamix adheres to the moist food and the dogs digest the food better because the digestive enzymes don't have to work so hard to break down the dry food first.

THE AMOUNT:

Hokamix needs to be introduced to the diet slowly. Start with a 1/2 scoop for a few days, then 1 full scoop for a few days, then 1+1/2 scoops, etc., until you reach the recommended amount. A 5 gram scoop is included. Some loose stool is to be expected but if diarrhea occurs cut back the amount of the Hokamix a little until the diarrhea stops. You are probably giving too much too fast. If doubling the amount, keep increasing the amount until the double amount is reached and then keep them on this double amount for an additional 4-6 weeks. For a dog over 33 pounds it will take about 2 plus weeks to get them up to the double amount. Add the Hokamix to moist food (otherwise it will fall to the bottom of the bowl) and stir. If you feed twice a day, the amount can be divided and given at both meals or it can be given all at one meal. After your pets get used to the Hokamix, if you don't put it in their food, they'll look at you funny as if to say 'did you forget something'?
(Note: Hokamix should not be mixed with food that exceeds 35 degrees Celsius - 95 degrees Fahrenheit)

THE RESULTS:

Some people see results within a matter of days. Most people see results within 3-6 weeks. If Hokamix is going to work for your pet you should see results within the first 2 months. At about 2-3 weeks the animal will start to detoxify and some symptoms that went away during the first week or two might come back, especially skin rashes and loss of hair, if those were their original problems. This is normal because the toxins come out of the body through the skin and through the stool. Should you see this happening, don't be alarmed and stick with it. This is just the cleaning out process, the toxins leaving the body, and it will go away in about a week and you will be pleased with the results. As with many natural remedies, sometimes you get worse before you get better because you are treating the cause and not just the symptoms. Most dogs and cats don't experience anything that is noticeable; the ones with the skin problems and allergies are the ones that are sometimes noticeable, but the coats on your dog or cat will be the best you've ever seen. Beautiful coats are just one of the small benefits of using Hokamix. For dogs with problems such as hip dysplasia, lupus, staph infections and allergies it is recommended that the dose be doubled for the first six weeks. Dogs with hip dysplasia should be on Hokamix for at least 6 months before you decide to re-xray to see if there have been any radiographic improvements in the hips, unless you just want to see what's going on at 3 month intervals and can afford to do it. After using Hokamix for a short period, the improvement in the dogs general condition and well being can be dramatic. Hokamix can also be used externally for hot spots or wounds. Mix some Hokamix with a little bit of water, or better yet aloe vera gel, to make a paste and spread on the sores. Healing will occur much quicker.
