Director Brand Marketing - Wellness & Old Mother Hubbard - Tewksbury, MA << Back to Careers

We have an immediate opening in our Tewksbury, MA location for a Director of Brand Marketing to join our Marketing Team.  Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, you will be responsible for key marketing and new product launches for our Wellness & Old Mother Hubbard Brands.  You will lead and support these initiatives in collaboration with multifunctional teams, driving top line and bottom line business results by translating marketing strategies and consumer insights into actionable marketing programs. 

 

 Position Description (Responsibilities):

  • Lead development of portfolio and brand strategies for the annual operating plan and 3-year strategic planning 
  • Lead development of brand positioning and brand campaigns
  • Lead development of annual marketing plans including digital advertising, PR,  in-store programs and consumer promotions
  • Measure impact and effectiveness of marketing programs and make recommendations for future investment decisions
  • Lead brand pricing strategies, including suggested retail price points and targeted promotional pricing
  • Develop marketing launch and support plans for new products and track performance vs. expectations throughout launch year
  • Manage team of 3 Brand Managers/Associate Brand Managers
  • Perform day-to-day general management of business, including marketing budgets, brand performance, competitive activity,  and key-retailer support plans
  • Live the WellPet values and culture and doing whatever it takes for the pets who depend on us

 

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related area. MBA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in Marketing/Brand Management in Consumer Packaged Goods
  • Experience in both larger and smaller business environments preferred
  • High drive for results and excellent project management skills
  • Capable of prioritizing multiple projects simultaneously under tight time constraints and within budget parameters
  • Ability to lead, collaborate and influence cross-functionally by building relationships and trust
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
  • Demonstrates positive attitude, sees challenges as opportunities and translates them into actionable recommendations
  • The ideal candidate will reside in the Greater Boston area
  • 25-30% travel required
