This Sydney based position reporting to the Marketing Manager is responsible for the overall brand health of our portfolio as well as leading key influencer and trial programs. Position Description (Responsibilities):

  • Responsible for the marketing mix (product, price, promotion, distribution, channels) and brand P&L to drive market growth
  • Translate global and regional brand strategies into local brand plans, brand positioning and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop and implement direct and indirect (influencer) trial plans to generate new users.
  • Oversee the online marketing strategy for the organisation including the development, implementation, tracking and optimisation of integrated digital marketing campaigns across all digital channels (web, SEO/SEM, email, social media).
  • Lead the management and development of both short and long term activation plans (aligning with the team’s selling cycles) and act as the key interface between marketing and sales to ensure brand strategies are aligned with commercial priorities and executed to achieve success in store.
  • Provide direction on the creation of trade marketing, merchandising, POS tools to enable sales force to achieve sales and distribution goals.
  • Act as custodian and gatekeeper of the brands in ANZ (equity, claims and graphic identity).
  • Lead our Pet Nutrition Trainer (PNT) program and develop strategies and tools to increase its ROI
  • Data analysis to uncover consumer, customer and channel insights to improve effectiveness.
  • Ongoing monitoring of market trends and competitive data to act fast on any opportunities or risks.
  • Measure and report performance of all marketing activities, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
  • Key Performance Indicators include (but are not limited to):
    • Brand growth (on Prior year and vs. target)
    • Number of trials and new user acquisition New initiative sell in
    • Digital KPIs (reach ,social media engagement, website traffic and CTR, email open rate)
    • Campaign deployment timing and budget


Position Requirements:

This position is ideally suited for an individual who has proven working experience building brands in FMCG as a brand manager or assistant brand manager. An excellent understanding of the marketing mix, channel dynamics, coupled with strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking is a must to make this role a success. Other requirements include:

  • Passion for pets and their families
  • Pet food or pet industry experience is not a must but is considered advantageous
  • Drive for results and self-starter
  • Able to multi-task, prioritise, and manage time effectively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in Digital Marketing, including CRM campaigns, online tracking tools, with an understanding of digital advertising metrics
  • Highly creative with ability to think out of box
  • Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
  • Budget-management skills and proficiency
  • Demonstrates positive attitude and takes a proactive approach
  • Energised by fast-paced environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising or related field
  • 3+ years’ experience in brand or product management
