Brand Manager - Singapore << Back to Careers

We have an immediate opening on our regional marketing team for the newly created position of Brand Manager, based out of our Singapore office.  Reporting to the Marketing Director Asia, the Brand Manager will play a key role in leading brand development strategies, including innovation, communications and executional activities in the Asia Pacific region.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and drive key strategic brand initiatives to affirm brand positioning, build awareness and deliver long term brand equity.
  • Be the brand expert to champion brands and product portfolio.  Coach country teams to guide deployment of brand principles across different markets and languages, and drive consistency across all forms of execution, including digital channels.
  • Develop annual regional marketing strategies and execution plans to achieve brand and commercial objectives.
  • Design regional marketing campaigns and deliver communication toolkits to drive consumer awareness, excitement and purchase intent, by creating briefs, co-managing the creative process and activation strategies.
  • Partner with distributors in key markets and agencies in the deployment of marketing plans, campaigns and tactics.
  • Evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of marketing plans and promotional tactics, and make recommendations for changes and improvements.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitors, and conduct consumer research and shopper studies to identify opportunities and key issues.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop new product innovation based on market trends, consumer insights and other opportunities.
  • Manage marketing budget tracking and administration of funds.
  • Live the WellPet Culture and Values and doing whatever it takes for the pets who depend on us

 

Requirements

This position is ideally suited for an individual who has prior experience in brand and/or marketing management in a consumer packaged goods environment.  Other requirements include: 

  • BA degree in marketing or business administration with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability and confidence to present ideas to a wide audience
  • Skills in business analytics, project management, and cross functional team leadership
  • Strategic thinking, creative problem solving, entrepreneurial, and highly motivated
  • Computer proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience with consumer engagement using digital and social media
  • While a prior sales assignment is not required, the candidate must possess a good understand of working with sales and trade-marketing teams
  • Experience with natural or premium branded consumer products and understanding of multi-channel distribution and retail environment preferred
  • Prior experience in Pet Care category is not required but would be helpful
  • Occasional travelling is required (approximately 20 – 30%)
