Regional Operations Manager - Singapore << Back to Careers

Responsibilities:

Establish, implement and lead the Sales and Operations Planning process for the Asia Pacific (APAC) geography.

  1. Consolidate/create Asia Developing Markets, Japan and Australia/New Zealand local demand forecast into a regional demand forecast for the geography. Align demand forecasts with supply teams, which includes both internal and co-manufacturers.
  2. Actively engage with global supply teams to ensure changes in supply plans are constantly managed and aligned with local demand plans.
  3. Monthly reporting and measurement of service level and inventory Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as well as lead efforts to improve KPIs if targets are missed.
  4. Actively participate in monthly financial forecasting for the geography and lead operations input for annual budget planning
  5. Establish, measure and continuously improve operations processes
  6. Share best practices across geographies; actively participate in learning opportunities to develop APAC regional best practices.

 

Manage regional APAC-specific contract manufacturers

  1. Own relationships with regional contract manufacturers, including but not limited to those in Thailand, China, Belgium and New Zealand.  (APAC currently sources product from the a number of internal and external sites. While global contract manufacturers are managed by the global supply team, relationships with the regional ones (currently Thailand, China, Belgium, New Zealand) will be owned in by the APAC Ops Manager)
  2. Agree and manage key service level KPIs with co-manufacturers, including the negotiation of KPIs  and regularly review of results, that those are met and aligning regions demand forecasts with co-manufacturing supply plans.
  3. Manage daily communication with co-manufacturers and work on issue resolution where needed.

 

Local customer service Service Point of Contact (SPOC) for APAC distributors

  1. Manage the transition of the distributor ordering process from a centralized format to a regional format.
  2. Manage all contacts with regional distributor orders, accounting for local market requirements.
  3. Act as the customer service administrator for distributor orders.
  4. Set up local customer service SPOC - both process and systems linkages- and implement the new structure within both the local and global WellPet organization.
  5. Manage daily customer service operations, interacting regularly with all regional distributors and act as the link back into our global supply teams.
  6. Evaluate future improvement projects, including EDI implementation.

 

Support setup of new regional contract manufacturers

  1. Evaluate and provide feedback into decision-making processes regarding the Organization’s co-manufacturing network.
  2. Support the Managing Director with functional expertise on identifying co-manufacturers and act as local representative for the WellPet Operations function.

 

 

Requirements:

 

This position requires minimum a bachelor's degree in the area of specialty and no less than 8 years of experience in Supply Chain Operations. This individual must be familiar with international supply chain and consumer product goods manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures. Our Regional Operations Manager will demonstrate success based on their ability to leverage their past experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. In addition, candidates should have the following credentials:

 

  • A proven ability to lead and direct the work of others, either in formal or informal reporting relationships.
  • The ability to travel within the APAC region monthly and to attend frequent evening or morning calls to communicate with teams outside of APAC.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Collaborative team player with exemplary work-ethic, and a can-do attitude.
  • Strong Organizational skills, managing multiple projects, shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Action and results-oriented

  • Able to work independently as well as part of a group successfully
