Position Summary

Perform preventative maintenance, while ensuring a proper production flow, to the production lines. 



  • Responsible for electrical control systems of automated equipment
  • Assist with program control sequences, control devices and their interface
  • Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs as needed
  • Inspect test, evaluate, calibrate and update electrical power control systems and wiring to improve reliability
  • Troubleshoot PLC operated packaging equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform complex system checks
  • Respond to scheduled, unscheduled and preventive maintenance work orders generated by the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary work area at all times
  • Participate in audits and assist in the development of procedures
  • Complete all related daily maintenance reports
  • Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned


Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of education in a related field
  • Minimum of five years of work history in a related field
  • Experience with high pressure processing equipment or ammonia systems preferred
  • Solid understanding of electrical systems including comprehension of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams (low and high voltage)
  • Required to read and write English, follow verbal instructions and use simple math
  • Required to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility
  • Exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust odors, fumes, oils and greases
  • Ability to drive vehicle during the workday is required
  • Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned
  • Good math and analytical skills
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Self-Motivated
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
  • Computer (PC) skills, with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as assigned
