Position Summary: Our WellPet Team is made up of passionate professionals who understand the difference our products make in the lives of pets.  These pet-tastic pro’s work cross-functionally, to ensure our products are readily available for pets to enjoy. Are you interested in building marketing programs within key accounts to grow the Old Mother Hubbard brand? This position is based out of our Tewksbury headquarters location, and will report to the General Manager, FDM. You will be responsible for strategically partnering with our brand team, sales team, and our key FDM accounts to identify and maximize opportunities to grow the Old Mother Hubbard business.  Our ideal candidate will have traditional CPG experience but have a ‘start-up’ mentality as we build the brand in this channel.



Position Description:

  • Based on brand & customer objectives – build account specific marketing programs to deliver revenue, profit and market share goals.
  • Develop and maintain budgets on a bi-monthly basis.
  • Plan and oversee the execution of promotional activities including consumer promotions, in-store flyers, direct mail, e-mail programs, displays, merchandising, events, sponsorships, and retailer media.
  • Manage development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support marketing programs with key accounts.
  • Analyze results post-program, providing a thorough analysis of program performance vs. goals, and ensuring key learnings are implemented in go-forward planning.
  • Provide general marketing support to the Sales team for key accounts assigned
  • Help develop presentations and analyses to sell-in new products and programs to customers.
  • Project management - work with customers and internal supply chain teams to deliver accurate forecasts of new products and up-lifts anticipated by promotional programming.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Brand, Marketing Communications, Supply Chain, Finance, Innovation and New Product Development, as well as with external partners and vendors.
  • Live the WellPet Vision, Mission and Values and do whatever it takes for the pets who depend on us.





Position Requirements:

We need an individual who loves CPG Sales and Marketing and thrives on working closely with customers, as well as cross-functionally to develop, launch, and manage marketing programs to deliver brand and retailer objectives.  You should also be a strong project manager with an analytical mind that feels comfortable getting into the financial data.


What else should you bring to the table?


Ownership of execution, as well as ownership of the number – jointly with your sales partners.  Passion for bringing brands to life at key customers to build awareness, trial and lifetime value.  And strong program management skills, to balance multiple projects and timelines.


Core Requirements:          

  • A Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related discipline
  • 5+ years CPG Customer marketing experience; sales/marketing experience a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to build persuasive presentations
  • A self-starter attitude, capable of handling multiple priorities, have a sense of urgency, and thrive in a fast paced and dynamic environment
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills, be a team player, enjoy being hands-on, and demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Ability to travel approximately 30%, more at the start.
