National Sales Manager - Sydney, Australia << Back to Careers

 

Position Summary: We are currently seeking a National Sales Manager to join our team. This position is based in our French’s Forest office and will report to our Country Manager of Australia & New Zealand. This National Sales Manager will be results focused and responsible for achieving performance targets with major customers.  In addition, they will lead the sales team providing coaching/support with indirect customer relationships. 
Position Description (Responsibilities):
Manage overall sales function internally and externally including setting the customer and sales strategies for the business (targeted sales revenues, trade spend, profit targets, etc.)
Develop and support account specific annual business plans to ensure sales/spend goals are achieved
Lead the state sales teams with the support of national sales executive
Build strong business relationships with customers to assess market dynamics, consumer insights/trends, and retail business challenges and opportunities; use strong relationships to deliver excellence in program execution
Support and lead the execution of customer contract terms and conditions
Deploy brand initiative plans and ensure customer alignment including, quantifying building blocks and timing of execution
Work collaboratively and closely with the National Marketing Manager to build out the commercial, new product, and customer promotional calendars for execution
Own the sales function internally from a reporting and commercial review process perspective, including forecasting, supply, and presenting results
Utilize sales and market data for reporting and analytics to manage SKU penetration, assortment, category trends, and other relevant business/performance metrics
Position Requirements:
3-5 years experience managing national accounts and wholesale customers
Experience managing people directly and indirectly 
Demonstrated ability to sell and attend to customer’s needs
A proven track record for managing large, strategic, and complex customers
Understanding of fundamental retailer and distributor profitability structures, including financial fundamentals
Experience executing category management priorities including innovation and promotions plans
Strong planning and organizational skills, a high commitment to timely execution, follow up, and problem resolution
Self-directed, flexible, and able to work independently
Outstanding verbal/written communication and negotiation skills
Polished demeanor with experience presenting
Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
Computer proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint 
Compensation Package
A competitive compensation package will be offered including base salary + super, quarterly performance bonus, annual company bonus, car and pet food allowances.
