Position Summary: Our Accounting Team at WellPet is made up of dedicated professionals who understand the difference our products make in the lives of pets. We are currently seeking a Corporate Controller to join our team. This position is based in our Tewksbury office and will report to the Vice President of Accounting. Our Corporate Controller will lead our diverse Accounting Team to continue their strong execution with a focus on continuous improvement and Company growth. This individual will be a key player in the Company’s strategic growth initiatives over the coming years.
Position Description (Responsibilities):
Oversee G/L, inventory costing, A/P, A/R, payroll, and daily cash management functions
Manage timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting through the close and consolidation process
Prepare and coordinate monthly financial information to be submitted to Private Equity ownership
Prepare quarterly lender compliance materials
Act as the primary contact for external auditors and other financial and accounting advisors
Manage the Company’s tax reporting and filing requirements
Ensure all financial records and supporting documentation are meticulously maintained, including monthly balance sheet reconciliations
Oversee implementation of the automated AP module (procure-to-pay) within the existing ERP system
Represent the finance function when working with business leaders from other departments on company projects and initiatives
Ensure appropriate internal controls are in place at all times
Own the development and documentation of formal global accounting processes and procedures 
Manage four direct reports and eight indirect reports
Position Requirements:
CPA with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 
10+ years of progressive professional accounting experience, including at least 3 years of public accounting with a big 4 audit firm
Experience working for a publicly-owned company with SEC reporting experience
Experience working for a private-equity backed company with IPO readiness responsibilities
Experience in the manufacturing industry and with standard costing of inventory
Proven success managing large, diverse teams
Experience managing global accounting operations 
Strong knowledge of and experience working with ERP systems 
Experience with the identification and implementation of significant efficiency initiatives
Excellent oral and written communication skills
