Regional Sales Manager - East << Back to Careers

 

Position Summary: We have an immediate opening for a Regional Sales Manager – East Region to join our sales team.  This role is responsible for managing a team of 5 Territory Managers in the Midwest and East Coast and delivering the retail execution of company initiatives.  This includes ensuring excellent and consistent execution of the sales fundamentals at retail (Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing and Shelving).  This role will also be responsible for training of Territory Managers in the field, assisting on key customer calls, and delivering East Region revenue goals. 
Position Description (Responsibilities):
Lead the execution of retail fundamentals and company priorities across the East Region. 
Analyze field reporting data (via Repsly) and OTD data (via CoopDigity) to plan goals and measure results.
Ensure execution of corporate go-to-market strategy and supplement as needed with account specific programming.
Manage trade funds, including ROI analysis.
Create and implement new item launch plans.
Identify and develop strong working relationships across field sales, distribution, and Key Account managers across the Independent sales team.
Champion business needs for the territories and accounts within them.
Demonstrate clear ownership, leadership, and accountability.
Communicate crucial market, trade, and competitive information on a timely basis.

Position Requirements:
This position is ideal for a consumer products sales professional located in the greater Boston area who can travel 60-80% of the time. Other requirements include:
Bachelor’s Degree.
5+ years of proven success and progression within the Sales function in the CPG industry.
Experience managing a sales team.
MS Office skills; Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Highly analytical with a proven ability and understanding of Key Performance Indicators.
Effective control of process and projects; detail oriented and organized.
Strong relationship management skills, including organizational analysis and negotiating skills.
Customer focused with high standards of integrity.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Energized by a fast paced and high change environment.
