Chief Executive Officer

In His Own Words:

Pets are an amazing constant in a world of unprecedented change. Social media and technology have fundamentally altered the ways we connect with one another. Yet, the human-pet bond remains so powerful and fulfilling because it is rooted in a connection that has lasted the test of time.

My family adopted a yellow lab puppy who was rescued from a puppy mill. We named her “Hope,” because we gave her hope by saving her from a sad life. Hope has become a great source of fun, affection and spirit for our whole family.

I know from experience that pet parenting is incredibly rewarding. It’s a great source of pride for me to know how committed our associates are to pet nutrition and health. We appreciate the confidence pet parents have in our brands and work to maintain that trust every day.

Greg Kean

Vice President of Research and Development

In His Own Words:

I’ve been a pet parent almost as long as I can remember. When I was six years old, my siblings and I took to feeding a stray cat we named Snoopy. After convincing our parents to take her in, Snoopy spent 18 years as part of our family.

It’s amazing how much pets can impact our lives – whether they are with us for as long as Snoopy or as short a time as Marnie, a Bernese Mountain Dog whom my wife and I rescued from a puppy mill. Our family recently adopted Violet, a Boston Terrier mix. She is a very sweet gal who loves to play and be a part of the family and the neighborhood.

Having studied food and nutrition, I have a deep appreciation and respect for the relationship between what we consume and our body’s chemistry, and I strongly believe that the same principles hold true for our pets. I take great pride in developing natural foods that provide dogs and cats the sustenance they need to live happy, healthy lives.

Vice President, Sales

I have been a pet parent or “buddy" to a pet for as far back as I can remember, always having a dog in my life. My current buddy's name is Jack. He is a 14-year-old, 6 pound Toy Poodle who never refuses a hug and a snuggle. Before I started at WellPet, I would have considered Jack to be a senior couch potato who enjoyed his long naps and short walks. That all changed when we started him on the Wellness Simple diet. Today, Jack Cato thinks he’s Jack LaLanne and it’s hard to keep up with him.

I came to WellPet for the opportunity to be part of a dedicated, passionate, driven, customer-focused organization with a clear objective of making a positive difference in the lives of pets. We each take great pride in the trust our pet parents place in us. I believe that in order to really excel, you must love what you do. I can easily say I love what I do here at WellPet!

In His Own Words

I had my first dog, Chipper (a rescue) when I was about six years old. Now, my family and I have a cat, Kipper and a beagle-hound mix, Jersey. Kipper showed up at our house one day as a scrawny, underfed kitten and never left, and Jersey is a rescue who’s the gentlest and friendliest dog around and great with our kids. As a pet parent, WellPet’s mission of delivering the healthiest natural foods for pets is something that I truly believe in.

A growing and dynamic business, WellPet makes a difference in the lives of so many pets and their pet parents, and I really enjoy being a part of that. In my role of overseeing WellPet’s Mishawaka manufacturing facility and our co-manufacturing partners, I work with so many like-minded people who take great care to uphold our strict quality assurance standards and create delicious, nutrient-dense pet food.

Our first born is Rommel – an incredibly caring and loving lab. Rommel is 3 years old and named after the “desert fox”. Despite his large breed size, he thinks he’s a toy breed and still loves to climb onto my lap like he did as a puppy. Rommel is big brother to Farida and Malak, our twin girls. I am from New Zealand where, growing up, I always had cats. There was Ashley, a grey Persian, and rescues Mischief and Transit.

Working at WellPet gives me a chance to be part of a team that’s on the cutting edge of product innovation in natural pet food. Each day brings the opportunity to not only meet, but exceed, the expectations of discerning pet parents. Spreading the word about the benefits of our products is something I’m very passionate about, especially after seeing the positive effect our food has had on my own dog.

In His Own Words:

Dogs have always been a part of my life.  My first dog, a lab mix named Shunka, was a rescue who was a great companion to me during childhood.

When my wife and I first got married, we found a beautiful Newfoundland puppy named Soleil, who is now 6 years old.  We’ve always been drawn to large, gentle dogs with big hearts, and that really sums up Soleil.  I love taking Soleil to the beach and letting her run and splash off-leash.

I came to WellPet because I wanted to feel passionate about what I was doing for a living.  I was a new pet parent, and had just begun to discover and understand the benefits of natural pet foods.  I’m fortunate to have found a job that lets me crunch numbers in a complex, energetic and growing category that truly interests me.

Martin Bahr

Managing Director- Asia

In His Own Words:

Living in one of the world’s most culturally diverse regions, it’s amazing how similar we all are when it comes to the relationship with our pets. Whether Labrador, Toy Poodle or Munchkin, a pet can positively change a person’s mood or spirit like no one else.

I grew up with dogs for a large part of my life. Thinking back to those years, memories and stories about Gina the Hovavart and Victor the Boxer, never fail to bring a smile to my face. And even though it is a little difficult for me to own a dog at the moment, I have the perfect excuse to spend a lot of time with many cats and dogs: My job.

I take great pride in the fact that every day, together with my team, we bring the WellPet brands to more pet parents and their cats and dogs in Asia and Australia. Helping them to live happier, healthier lives with their pets.
