Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Customer Business Manager to join our Sales team. Reporting to the General Manager of the E-Commerce Team, Our Customer Business Manager will serve as the primary business owner for our Amazon business.

Position Description (Responsibilities):

  • Owns revenue and forecasting for the assigned accounts
  • Ensures the achievement of both short & long term financial goals for assigned accounts
  • Own day to day relationship with assigned accounts with primary goal of delivering short & long term financial results
  • Foster partnership with assigned accounts to allow for account penetration up – down – across the entire account
  • Build sustainable business processes between WellPet & assigned accounts to efficiently deliver joint value & meet commitments
  • Serve as account champion internally to make sure accounts receive support necessary to be successful
  • Serve as the chief author of business performance for assigned accounts both internally and externally
  • Provide leadership to ensure WellPet brand strategies, policies, and sales tactics are understood and implemented within his/her account
  • Develop and maintain high visibility with account key decision-makers and decision-influencers to advance business opportunities
  • Utilize all information available to determine what’s working and not working using a data-based approach
  • Communicate crucial market, trade and competitive information on a timely basis
  • Living the WellPet values and culture and doing whatever it takes for the pets who depend on us.

 Requirements:

This position is ideally suited for an individual who is analytical, detail oriented, well organized & acts with a sense of urgency. Our Customer Business Managers have excellent verbal & written communication skills, a strong customer focus and are results-oriented. Other requirements include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of experience in sales management in the consumer products industry.
  • Experience leading and owning e-Commerce customers – specifically Amazon
  • Proven track record for managing large, strategic and complex customers
  • Self-directed, flexible, and able to work independently
  • Experience to include both internal and account management experience
  • Computer proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel between 30% - 40% of the time
  • Collaborative, team player with a “can do” attitude.

  • Ability to collaborate and influence cross-functionally
  • Demonstrates positive attitude and takes a proactive approach
  • Sees challenges as opportunities and translates them into actionable tasks
