Position Summary:

The Report Developer is needed to support the successful deployment of the WellPet business intelligence strategy. Working with cross-functional teams, this developer will gather and document reporting requirements to meet business needs, use skills and experience as a BI report developer, then translate into specifications and BI reports.


Enterprise reporting extracts data from multiple systems/sources including IFS ERP, Pivotal CRM, Made4Net WMS, Precient EDM, BPM, and 3rd party warehouse systems. Reports are output as Microsoft Power BI reports, Excel, PDF. Reports are made available for users to pull as needed or on a scheduled basis.  Reports will also be needed ad-hoc during and following the cutover period.


Position Description (Responsibilities):

  • Collaborate with business units (sales, sales planning, marketing, supply chain, quality, manufacturing facility, FP&A…etc.) across multiple regions to understand their specific business intelligence needs and gather requirements for standard and ad hoc reporting.
  • Extract data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases and data systems
  • Maintain, optimize, and refine existing reports that are currently in use.
  • Develop, modify, maintain and support custom reports and dashboards for both ad-hoc and ongoing needs.
  • Convert existing BI reports from other platforms into Microsoft Power BI.
  • Conduct unit testing and support user testing to ensure data accuracy.
  • Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize efficiency and data quality
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for various systems, services and business processes including databases and reporting procedures
  • Assist with the review, consolidation and reduction of data discrepancies
  • Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize business and information needs to support WellPet corporate strategies as well WellPet IT strategies
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Train users in the operations and scheduling of reports
  • Work with 3rd-party vendors on support and maintenance issues that may include specification design and development oversight, as well as testing and integration within other applications



  • Technical proficiency in SQL based data warehouse system
  • Experience in ETL, multi-dimensional data warehouse

Position Requirements:

  • 5+ years of development experience with SQL Server based systems
  • Deep experience in Microsoft Power BI report development, including visualization, DAX, ReportServer configuration
  • Experience in SSRS report developments
  • Knowledge in Crystal Report development.
  • Knowledge in QlikView report development
  • Knowledge in SSAS cubes, including XML languages, dimensional modeling
  • Experience in ETL tools, including but not limited to SSIS, Informatica, Redshift
  • Strong experience in T-SQL stored procedures, functions, SQL Server agent jobs
  • Knowledge in Oracle PL/SQL, Procedures, Packages, and customized functions
  • Knowledge in SSMS and Visual Studio
  • Experience in RDBMS development in cross-platform & linked-server environment
  • Previous experience in manufacturing preferred
