Position Summary:

We are currently seeking a Digital/Social Media Specialist to join our Marketing team. Our Digital/Social Media Specialist will manage digital marketing campaigns, ensuring they are delivered in an effective, efficient manner that achieves brand strategy. This team member will manage a best-in-class consumer experience on all social platforms by ensuring meaningful digital content. This position will translate the marketing and business goals into effective digital programs that achieve set KPIs. This position is for an individual who has a broad understanding of and a passion for digital and social media marketing strategies, tactics, channels and platforms.

 

 

Position Description (Responsibilities):

  • Develops strategic digital marketing plans that deliver on the determined business/marketing objectives
  • Curate, create and plan social content on a weekly/monthly/yearly basis for assigned brands
  • Publish and monitor social content using social media management tools, interacting with pet parents online on a daily basis.
  • Analyze social media results, prepare reports and communicate cross-functionally in order to optimize performance
  • Own, develop and report on influencer partnerships, tasks include enhancing long-term influencer relationships, influencer campaign management, etc.
  • Execute and measure email marketing campaigns utilizing email platforms such as Bronto
  • Publish content to appropriate brand blogs and manage website updates for assigned brands
  • Develops strong working relationships with internal teams, particularly Brand and Consumer Affairs teams, as well as outside vendors, e.g. public relations, coupon provider, creative agencies, video production teams, etc.
  • Run and measure paid in-house social campaigns
  • Manages and approves creative assets for digital campaigns and provides to appropriate cross functional partners and customers
  • Shares recommended strategy and tactics with International teams as well as content calendars, best practices, KPIs and benchmarks
  • Continuously positions WellPet brands as thought leaders in the premium pet food industry
  • Ensures programs come in on budget and within the approved brand and content strategy guidelines
  • Manage “Surprise & Delight” program, ship boxes to pet parents and influencers as needed
  • Manage brand promotional items including ordering and shipping to appropriate parties
  • Lives the WellPet values and culture and doing whatever it takes for the pets who depend on us

 

Requirements:

The successful candidate will be flexible and adaptable to shifting priorities and will have strong organizational and time-management skills. They will thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The candidate must have superior verbal & written communication skills, a strong consumer focus and be results-oriented.

 

Other requirements include:

  • BA or BS in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Media, Business, Communications or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in digital marketing
  • Must be agile, motivated and thrive on getting things done, making a real impact on the business
  • Experience running and measuring paid in-house social campaigns
  • Ability to travel occasionally to trade shows, various studio locations, promotional events, etc.
  • Flexibility to monitor and manage social media platforms outside of business hours as needed
  • Must show creativity while being contentious of brand guidelines, working with graphic designers to bring ideas to life, with a passion for creating a story through media
  • Multi-media (video, photo, copy) creation and management skills
  • Experience managing multiple social media channels simultaneously including, Facebook, Facebook Groups, Facebook Ads Manager, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of content producers (photographers, copywriters, agencies, etc.), with capability and appetite to produce in-house content as well
  • Comfortable using popular content management systems, ex. Wordpress
  • Email marketing platform knowledge (e.g. Bronto) and a basic understanding of HTML preferred
  • Experience managing digital coupon promotions
  • Experience with managing budgets for digital and social media
  • Background in web analytics (using Google Analytics)
  • Candidate should be a team player who is always willing and happy to help
