Senior Business Systems Analyst

Position Summary:
The Senior Business Systems Analyst, Warehouse and Distribution is responsible for working directly with business users in creating and refining business and systems requirements to address business opportunities and formulating documentation to support the development and implementation of the technical solution. This position plays a major role in the development and implementation of core business systems and may serve in a project manager capacity for smaller work efforts. The Senior Business Systems Analyst will be based in Tewksbury MA and report to the VP, Information Technology.
Position Description (Responsibilities):
• Lead requirements gathering sessions and maintain business and technical requirements documents
• Initialize, schedule, and host meetings with multiple stakeholders and subject matter experts for collection and review of business needs and product requirements
• Provide hands-on expert consultation to your team members, including developers and support staff on technical issues
• Identify and define new process improvement opportunities
• Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize business and information needs to support WellPet corporate strategies as well as WellPet IT strategies
• Convert business requirements into functional requirements
• Work closely with the development team to clarify and refine requirements and follow-up on deliverables
• Design and manage the execution of test plans and ensure a quality solution is delivered
• Conduct user acceptance testing and gather feedback from each business area
• Troubleshoot issues resulting from testing in conjunction with the development team
• Work with 3rd-party vendors on support and maintenance issues that may include specification design and development oversight, as well as testing and integration within other applications
• Support multiple projects with dependencies, simultaneously
• Works closely with the business readiness team to ensure training materials necessary for new systems and processes are available at the appropriate time
• Create and maintain documentation for core systems, services and business processes
• Educate users in the use of core systems
• Derive insights based on data from your deployments to further optimize our business processes
• Develop and document technology and operational best practices

Position Requirements:
• A BS or BA in computer science or related field or equivalent professional experience required
• 10+ years of experience with implementing and supporting business systems such as ERP and Warehouse Management, IFS preferred
• Must have experience working with large-scale, complex projects.
• A strong understanding of the software development life cycle process and best practices
• Experience implementing systems for Warehouse and Distribution processes
• Experience working in a manufacturing and distribution environment preferred
• Strong customer service skills, including the ability to communicate timely, detailed and accurate information, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization
• Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Experience presenting to senior-level leadership or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
• Experience managing large-scale full-life cycle implementations of business solutions (CRM implementation experience a big plus)
• Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to clearly, concisely, and effectively communicate with varying audiences often regarding complex technical matters
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests, and manage laterally and upwards
• Ability to be successful working with remote teams. Matrixed, remote, including international
• Willingness to do what it takes to meet critical deadlines
