TEWKSBURY--WellPet LLC., of Tewksbury, a premium pet food company, presented a $100,000 check this week to Devereux, a leading nonprofit behavioral health organization, to support transition to work curriculum at its schools for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and, behavioral and emotional challenges. The funds were contributed through Pennsylvania’s Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program.

The donation will support the stability of Devereux’s Transition to Work Program at Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Intellectual/Developmental Disability Services (CIDDS) and Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Behavioral Health Services (CBHS). The transition-related educational curriculum is tailored to the unique needs of each individual, based upon his or her diagnosis and designed to develop skills essential to succeeding in an employment environment as an adult. More than 220 students, from 23 counties across Pennsylvania, have participated in Devereux programs to gain the strength and confidence needed to function and flourish in a professional work environment.
